The Texas Military Forces Historical Foundation works with the Adjutant General's Department and its Texas Military Forces Museum in preserving, conserving, and displaying the history and legacy of the Texas Military Forces. Capitol Improvement Drive
The Texas Military Forces Museum has embarked upon an ambitious Master Plan to bring our facility into the 21st Century. Phase I of this project has just been completed at a cost of 2.2 million dollars. This phase placed a new roof on the museum, restored important aspects of its historic architecture, created and improved collections storage, archival and library spaces, installed compact storage systems in the gun vaults and library, covered the entire building with fire alarm and fire suppression systems, and made many other improvements.
In order to fund the remaining phases of the Master Plan, the Texas Military Forces Historical Foundation has commenced a Capital Campaign to raise an additional 4 million dollars. These funds will be used to complete the remaining phases of the master plan as well as create a 1 million dollar operational endowment to ensure the museum’s ability to continue to operate as a state-of-the-art institution well into the future.
All donations to the capital campaign are tax deductible and will be acknowledged by the Foundation. Opportunities for special recognition and naming privileges for significant gifts are available.
